OFFER ENDS WHEN WE FEEL LIKE IT’S SERVED ITS PURPOSE
Preventative & Periodontal Services
Depending on the condition of your gums we will recommend a preventative treatment/cleaning (for healthy gums) or a type of periodontal therapy (for patients with gingivitis or gum disease) and will customize an ongoing hygiene schedule.
Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)
Digital radiography provides advantages over traditional film including significantly less radiation to the patient, the ability to enhance images for diagnosis, and better communication with colleagues and insurance companies.
Digital impressions avoid the use of uncomfortable and messy putty trays. This allows for extremely accurate impressions, higher quality outcomes, less chair time, and an improved overall experience.
In most cases, Dental Implants offer a far superior solution for the replacement of missing teeth than Bridges and Partial/Complete Dentures. Dr. Williams has trained extensively in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.
Cosmetic Crowns and Veneers
When optimal aesthetics is desired, Cosmetic Crowns and/or Veneers may be an option. Utilizing models of your teeth, pictures, and wax-ups/mock-ups to plan your treatment, you will have a vision for your new smile before even starting.
In cases of fractures, cracks, previous dental restoration, or significant loss of tooth structure, a crown/cap is recommended to restore the tooth. We use the latest technology and highest quality materials and laboratories.
We use only the best materials available for routine dental fillings and do not use dental amalgam as we believe that modern adhesive dentistry provides more functional and more aesthetic options for dental restorations.
A dental bridge is a way to replace one or two missing teeth. A bridge is essentially two or more crowns with a false tooth bonded to them. Bridges leave a lot to be desired functionally and many times dental implants are a better treatment option.
Removable dental prosthesis such as a partial denture or complete denture is an option when multiple teeth are lost. Dentures can be a more functional tooth replacement when dental implants are added for retention of the prosthesis.
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is a treatment that removes a damaged or dead nerve and replaces it with an inert material. In most cases we recommend a crown be placed soon after a root canal in order to maintain the strength of the tooth.
Occlusal Guards/Occlusal Splints/Nightguards
Nighttime grinding or clenching of your teeth often lead to a recommendation of a custom occlusal guard to avoid teeth wear, muscle tightness or pain associated with the jaw joints (the Temporomandibular Joint or “TMJ”.
A custom athletic guard for individuals involved in impact sports is recommended. A custom athletic guard can be much more comfortable and more protective than an over-the-counter mouthguard.
Your First Visit
Your first visit is the most important! This is when we establish our relationship and learn all about your oral health. This detailed exam helps us create the best plan to improve your smile!
We will review your medical and dental health history and answer any questions you may have. Once that is done we will complete a number of steps that will help us gather more information about your current oral health. These steps include:
- Digital X-rays
- Digital Pictures
- Examination of your jaw joints & associated muscles
- Examination of your mouth’s hard & soft tissue
- Oral Cancer Screening
If you end up being in need of complex treatment, we will most likely recommend having study models assist Dr. Williams.
Once we gather all this information and do a preliminary assessment, we will do our best to complete a dental cleaning during this appointment. If you have severe periodontal disease (gum disease), we will recommend scheduling another appointment for a more thorough cleaning.
